Family Health Strategy: the focal point of the dispute of sanitarians projects in Brazil

Abstract

The objective of this work it’s to examine the meaning that Family Health Strategy (“Estratégia Saúde da Família,” from now on ESF) takes upon in the Brazilian sanitary policy. To this extent grounded in documents and international discuss it focuses Primary Health Care as long as policy of reorganization of the health care model of late years. It holds as reference the welfare meaning which ESF shoulder the responsibility in the context of the Unique System of Health, we search render problematic some deviations which take place in the enlargement field of universal and integral access of professional sanitarian duties, since its implementation process. This work contains an analysis of political speech of the Ministry of Health about Strategy and criticism upon it for some authors who discusses the counter hegemonic project on the health welfare issue.
