Abstract

The changes ongoing in the world of work and in the social dynamics demand a process of professionalization of the teacher. This necessity of professionalization confronts with the almost complete absence of reflection and theorization of the practices carried out by this professional who extended his area of work, but have not qualified much his performance. The overcoming of the instrumental logic, the development of the knowledge that bases the practice, the permanent improvement, the autonomy, the commitment with the category and with the emancipation of the subjects are challenges that are presented to this new professional. In the interaction with the concrete challenges will be forging a new professional who needs to understand his action in the context of social relations in its entirety.
