Abstract

This article discusses the possibility of granting Social Security Death Pension in favor of the person convicted for the murder of the primary beneficiary. It beggins by discussing the Social Security Death Pension. As the possibility of granting this benefit under these specific circumstances does not fall under an express legal provision under Brazilian Law, the Article analyses the Brazilian legal system as a whole in order to find out a response to this issue. Special attention in paid for the provisions set forth in the Brazilian Civil Code, as well as for the rules governing the Servants' Social Security.
