Implications of societal transformations on the materialization of social rights

This article aims to debate the interface between current societal transformations and their implications on the materialization of social rights. For this, an overview of the current transformations in society is first given, with a focus on the restructuring of production, which is considered indispensible for any deeper analysis of the social question. Next, a morphological analysis of social rights is carried out, since this is of primary importance to public policy design - the goals, emergence and localization of these rights in the constitutional system. Then, an analysis of the fundamental rights’ classification into generations is made, giving a deeper explanation of how this classification works and raising some objections to it. The rights of the second dimension are focused in more detail, since they include the object of this study - social rights. Finally, the the materialization of social rights is put into articulation with the current societal transformations.
