Reforms in social protection systems: disassembly or adaptation?

Abstract

This paper is based on specialized literature with the objective of evaluating the impact of neoliberal reforms in the state social protection systems and highlighting their new settings after decades of reforms, especially in Latin American countries. These countries have always been underdeveloped and benefits, services and population coverage have been precarious.
