Abstract

This text looks at the public federal servant’s new model of health care policy, with its base in the experience of the Supplementary Health Plan at implanted at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, in the year 2008. Currently this model comes constituting itself in a model with denominations such as mix public-private or PPP (public – private partnership). The current public federal servant’s care policy, in the parameters imposed by the neoliberal context, comes demanding new professional requirements from social worker, such as a critical attitude front to adversities. It concludes that the state entrust the solution to the social and management problems in the public-private partnerships. It is in this point that if manifest the contradiction between the private interest and the public ethics.
