Abstract

The aim of our study is to analyse the basic healthcare model based on the current social links between the community agents (ACS), users attended by the service and the associations that exercise ativities within the Family Healthcare Programme Units (USF) in Healthcare District IV in the city of Recife. Our theoretic referral is based on studies on social networks, which allows for investigating links set up between these parties (represented here by the relationship between the ACS, users and associations) within the social structure and, whether these links are able or not to contribute to a more preventative work in healthcare.
