Urban socio-cultural dimensions of violence in contemporary social relations

Abstract

This article analyzes the social effects of globalization and the sociocultural nature of what has been defined as violence. The theoretical support is based on contemporary authors who associate violence with globalization. The purpose is to note that if apolitical efforts to accommodate the popular masses are not changed, violence of all kinds will continue to be stigmatized and practiced against people, places and classes.
